Fluted, reeded, ribbed — whatever you call it, the vertical-groove look is everywhere in bathroom design right now, and this Phoenixville master bath is a case study in doing it well. We ran the fluted detail through two materials at once: rift-cut white oak on the vanity and a vertical fluted wood-look tile in the shower. Paired with honey bronze fixtures and a warm quartz, it’s a room that feels like a spa without feeling cold. Here’s a closer look at how it came together.

The Fluted White Oak Vanity
The vanity is the anchor. It’s a Shiloh inset cabinet in rift-cut white oak, finished in a soft natural tone called Straw — with deep fluted (reeded) fronts on the doors and drawers. Fluting adds real texture and shadow that a flat door can’t, and it catches the light differently as you move through the room. We topped it with Calacatta Miraggio Gold quartz and ran it up the walls as a backsplash. We finished the fronts with Top Knobs hardware in Honey Bronze — Exeter pulls on the doors, Marion knobs on the drawers. Tall fluted storage towers for extra storage flank the vanity to carry the detail floor to ceiling.

The Fluted Shower, Stacked Vertical
We carried the fluted idea into the shower with a wood-look tile — Glazzio Dorian Honey, a long 13×39 plank — run in a vertical stack with clean Antique White grout. Stacking the tile vertically reinforces the ribbed, fluted rhythm and draws the eye up, making the shower feel taller. Underfoot is a Chesapeake Pastel penny-round mosaic for texture and grip, and the same warm honey bronze fixtures tie it back to the vanity.

Warm Metals and a Bright Marble-Look Floor
Against all that warm wood tone, the room stays light and open: a marble-look porcelain floor (Merola Venus Alpe, 12×24 satin), a full quartz backsplash behind the vanity, and pill-shaped mirrors and a fluted glass sconce in honey bronze. It’s the balance that makes a warm palette read as calm rather than heavy.

How It Came Together
A room this coordinated only works when design, materials, and installation live under one roof. This Phoenixville family made their selections in person at our Limerick showroom — seeing the wood, the tile, and the quartz together before committing — and our own crew handled the build on a timeline set before demo started. One team, one plan, one point of contact from first day to final walkthrough.
